Marton Furness Hockey Club is the biggest hockey club in Teesside, with a total of 8 hockey teams. We field 3 ladies teams, 5 men's teams as well as developing a junior under 14 group. We accommodate people of all ages and abilities (from age 3 to over 70!)

The pitch we have been using for years has been torn up and replaced with a pitch that is unsuitable to play hockey
on. All other pitches in the area are owned by schools/colleges, which other clubs used as their home ground. We are desperate to build our own home pitch to host all of our teams and to ensure the continuation of the sport, and Marton Furness.

We need somewhere to host all of our 8 teams!

In order for us to achieve our goal of growing as a club, inspiring more people to play hockey and being self-sufficient we need to raise £200,000. Having our own pitch will support our vision of developing hockey in the area through providing coaching, umpiring and a space for people to play.  We currently do a substantial amount of work with local schools but having our own facility will allow us to build more relationships with our local community and schools. We aim to hold back to hockey for men and women as well as start a disability hockey programme in the future. The aim is to commence works in March/April 2018 ready for the 2018/2019 hockey season.

With  men's and ladies 1st teams both gaining promotion this season
we are growing more than we had ever imagined and we must keep going!

Help us achieve our goals and support our community with a modern facility that will be here for years to come!

Please do your own fundraising for this by creating your own page linked to this one – whether it be a sponsored walk/run, bake sale or sit in a bath of beans. Just click on the Fundraising button at the top of the page and start your journey. Anything you can do will help!

After an arduous 3 years in planning and preparing, As of August 2017, Middlesbrough Council have granted planning consent for the project to go ahead. Funding applications are in progress but we cannot do this without your support! Every little bit helps.

Thank you so much in advance
