Our aim is to raise £500 to help purchase necessary hard-ball safety equipment for junior cricketers at Warfield Cricket Club.

At the end of 2014, Warfield CC decided to launch its junior section in the following season. We originally aimed for 15 children aged 6-11, however we were inundated with inquiries. On our ‘Try-Cricket Taster Day’ we had 45 children present, which had grown to 50 by the end of the season, far exceeding all of our expectations!

Our plan for the 2016 season involves expanding the junior section; aiming to have junior squads at U7, U9, U11, Girls U12 & U13 level. For the older age groups, the children will begin to experience hard-ball cricket, and therefore the Club needs to purchase the necessary safety equipment, including helmets, pads and gloves. With the equipment, we can better develop the talent in our junior section and help the children maximise their potential!
